and sorry, one more technical question: is there any way to change your lj-name without starting a new journal? my name is SO high school
and if not, does anyone have a spare code? Sun, Mar. 28th, 2004, 01:34 pm s-s-songs
it is a good dance party when one gets to hear "take me home tonight," "sledgehammer," "jumping jack flash," "you can't hurry love," and "heart of glass" all in a row. it is a bad dance party when there is a row of terrifying hipsters along the wall who do nothing but stare out boredly all night. so i guess that means the party broke even.
p.s. i hurt my knees during "jumping jack flash." long story.
p.s.s. the last half hour of my radio show this morning was "suffragette city," "friday night," "killer queen," "billion dollar babies," and "dirty deeds done dirt cheap." that's what happens when rachel needs to rock and roll. Wed, Mar. 24th, 2004, 12:21 am
i hate bureaucracy. i am O-U-T of this place in 6 weeks and there is nothing anyone can do about it. Fri, Mar. 12th, 2004, 10:01 am
see? i jinxed it. Mon, Mar. 8th, 2004, 12:01 pm
i get kind of nervous when it looks like things might work out...keep waiting for the other shoe to drop.
anyway: looks like chicago next week? i am scared to take that question mark away and jinx it. but i will have lots of daytime free since my loverboy is a working man, so hopefully i can lunch/meet up with all you kids i never get to see when i'm just in town for a few days.
also-- maybe a jaunt to northwestern to visit the office folk? let me know if you'll be around.
p.s. if anyone has good ideas for how i can earn money while in chicago-- if you have odd jobs, baby-sitting, dog-walking, etc.-- just let me know! Sun, Mar. 7th, 2004, 11:12 pm
chuck klosterman is my friendster!
i'll be devastating the field of music journalism in no time, now...
i am feeling better. my mom is here. she is helping me take care of the things i need to take care of.
here's this morning's playlist...it was a strange show, much much less '60s pop/garage rock than usual, although those elements are in place. "for you" makes me understand how people are fanatical about bruce springsteen.

i really can't handle being here for spring break.
also: RADIO SHOW TOMORROW, 10-noon eastern standard time, a very early 9-11 am for those of you in our great midwest.
apparently the webcasting problems have been sorted out and there won't be scary men in the studio hastling me, so it will hopefully be my usual professional show.
www.mtholyoke.edu/org/wmhc/webcasting.html
you can make requests at (413) 538-2044 or IM me requests to the screen name WMHC915.
p.s. my mom is coming to school tomorrow to ostensibly help me figure things out. hopefully it will be comforting and not stressful. moms know how to push buttons. |
